Andy Rittenberg

Andy Rittenberg joined Coherus in 2024 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel with responsibility for overseeing the Legal Function. Andy brings to Coherus more than 25 years of experience providing legal support for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as both in-house and outside counsel.

Prior to joining Coherus, Andy served as Senior Vice President Legal and Chief Compliance Officer for Gilead Sciences, Inc. Over more than 17 years at Gilead, Andy played a foundational role in developing Gilead’s global legal team, supporting the commercialization of over a dozen highly successful pharmaceutical products, and providing solutions for difficult legal, regulatory, and business challenges. Prior to Gilead, Andy was an attorney with Covington & Burling, where he focused on commercial litigation, government and internal investigations and False Claims Act litigation. He previously worked on health care reform initiatives in the White House and Treasury Department.

Andy has a B.A. from Yale University and earned his law degree from the University of Chicago.
